Background
• Served 11 years as Trustee, Sun Peaks Resort Improvement District,
the last 9 years as Chair
• Retired Senior Financial Officer in a large corporation
• Sun Peaks resident for 12 years
Achievements
• Obtained borrowing power for the Improvement District so that the community’s fire protection could be improved
• Instrumental in structuring Sun Peaks Fire Rescue to allow its growth into one of BC’s best volunteer fire departments
• Convinced TNRD to locate a waste transfer station at Sun Peaks
• Worked with Provincial politicians to obtain approval and funding for the Sun Peaks Incorporation Study
• Co-Chaired the Sun Peaks Incorporation Study Committee
Objectives as Councillor
• Provide municipal services and facilities to make Sun Peaks a desirable community for residents and property owners, as well as a preferred destination for visitors
• The Council must exercise utmost fiscal responsibility to achieve service improvements and infrastructure growth with minimal impact on property tax
