Sun Peaks Community Health Centre – Covid-19 Update There are 3 more COVID positives as of this morning. Our total now stands at 23 current, confirmed active cases.
We understand people are concerned.
Currently none of the positive cases are very ill and none need hospitalization.
If you have booked an appointment in Kamloops for Covid testing I would urge you NOT to go shopping before or after.
Please get your test and return to Sun Peaks.
We are still working to get testing done here in Sun Peaks starting Monday April 12.
As of tomorrow the Health Centre will only be doing ‘virtual visits’ via phone. We will not be seeing anyone in the clinic except for ‘life and limb’ emergencies.
We thank everyone in Sun Peaks for their continuing support and cooperation.
Urgent update on Covid-19 testing at Sun Peaks:
We have just received notice that there WILL be a clinic on Monday at Sun Peaks – if you need testing please book online as before.
We understand there were a large number of people from Sun Peaks going in for covid-19 testing yesterday and today in Kamloops.
- First, a reminder that if you have no symptoms related to Covid-19 you will be turned away.
- Second, we are still trying to do immediate contact tracing and keep a handle on what is going on. So we would ask if you do go to Kamloops please ask if “Dr S. Barclay” can be put on the requisition to be cc’d a copy of the report. However, this doesn’t necessarily guarantee the result will come to Dr. Barclay.
- Third, although the testing site is going to be functioning tomorrow, we understand that at the moment it appears that there are no further slots available. We are looking into that situation, please check back later today.
If you do go for a test and it is positive and if you feel comfortable sharing that information with us, it would be very useful to know if you have a positive result. We ask that you telephone the Sun Peaks Community Health Centre on 778-644-0635, your information will remain strictly confidential.
