Chief Administrative Officer, Rob Bremner has submitted his resignation effective January 29th , 2021. Bremner has been at the helm of the Resort Municipality since August 2012.
Mayor Al Raine stated that ‘on behalf of the community and Council, we are very sorry to see Rob leave Sun Peaks. Rob quickly adapted to the resort community’s needs and has done a great job for this community. His leadership will be missed.’ said Mayor Raine.
Mr. Bremner stated that ‘he has enjoyed his eight plus years in Sun Peaks and working with Mayor Raine, Council, and staff at advancing the community to where it is today and laying a solid foundation for where it will be in the future.’ ‘I have valued the relationship with Mayor Raine and have learned so much making me a better CAO today than the day I arrived. He is one of the most passionate mayors I have had the pleasure of working for and his friendship is one I value’ said Bremner.
Mr. Bremner will be moving to Port Coquitlam where he has accepted the position of CAO. ‘We wish Rob well in his new position and we thank him for his contributions here in Sun Peaks’ said Mayor Raine.
Mayor Raine noted that the Municipality will begin an immediate search for a new CAO.
