Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 0220-2024
Sun Peaks Resort Municipality is giving notice pursuant to Section 467(1) of the Local Government Act for proposed amendments to Zoning Bylaw No. 1400 - 1994 regarding:
Bill 44 – 2023 Housing Statutes (Residential Development) Amendment Act
The purpose of the amendments is to implement recent provincial legislation regarding Small-Scale Multi-Unit Housing. The changes include affecting the zoning of approximately 100 lots across the Resort Municipality and amending some development regulations. The intent of Bill 44, which is reflected in this zoning amendment, is to allow Secondary Suites on all properties allowing single family dwellings.
Date of first reading of the Bylaw: Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 3:00 pm
The proposed bylaw, Council reports and related materials can be found as item 9.1 on the June 18th agenda or at the Municipal Office between 9 am–4 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays from June 14, 2024 up to and including June 18, 2024.
