Mayor Al Raine is pleased to announce the appointment of Deanna Campbell as Sun Peaks Municipality’s new Chief Administrative Officer effective August 14th, 2023.

Deanna Campbell has a legal background and training and has worked in local government for seven years and previously held positions with both the provincial and federal governments.  She started her local government career with the Resort Municipality of Whistler bringing firsthand knowledge of both the unique challenges and opportunities of a resort municipality.

Deanna is coming to Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality from her most recent role as the General Manager of Corporate and Legislative Services with the Thompson-Nicola Regional District.

With a permanent population approaching 1,500 and services and infrastructure serving more than 8,000 visitors, Sun Peaks is a unique community full of opportunity. Building on the success of being the second largest ski resort in Canada, Sun Peaks is increasingly becoming a year-round destination for mountain bikers, golfers, and conventions.

Mayor Al Raine

“The resort lifestyle that attract residents and employees from across Canada resulted in an extensive list of highly qualified applicants seeking to help us build the best mountain community in British Columbia. Council is confident that Deanna’s municipal experience in addition to her knowledge of the region and of resort communities will serve her well as she takes on the role of Chief Administrative Officer.
