In the event of an emergency affecting the community, the Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will be activated. All official notifications will come from the EOC and be posted on the municipal website, https://sunpeaksmunicipality.ca, and will be shared on the Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/sunpeaksmunicipality.
Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality also highly encourages all residents to download the Voyent-Alert App to their smartphone to receive emergency notifications.

Alternatively, you can download the BC Wildfire app to your smart phone by visiting the app store for your device and searching BC Wildfire.
Something Sun Peaks residents can do to pre-plan before an emergency is to make transportation arrangements with friends or neighbours in the event an evacuation order is required. Residents that do not have alternative transportation and would like to be included on a contact list, please email eoc.inquiries@sunpeaksmunicipality.ca to be contacted by one of our team members.
