Sun Peaks, BC – May 5, 2026 – Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality is pleased to announce that Donna Monteith has been hired as the Director of Corporate and Legislative Services.
“I am thrilled to join the team at Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality to support Council, our CAO, and staff to move strategic priorities forward that benefit the taxpayers, residents, and visitors alike” Monteith said.
Donna has extensive experience in local and Indigenous governments, overseeing complex service portfolios including corporate and legislative services, finance, economic development, emergency management, and human resources. Her focus has been providing strategic and operational leadership to staff and ensuring, through the CAO, the effective implementation of Council’s policies, priorities, and long-term strategic plans across all departments.

Reporting to the CAO, the Director of Corporate and Legislative Services performs the statutory duties of the Corporate Officer and oversees the following portfolios:
• Legislative Services: Council support, records management, and procedural advice and processes.
• Governance & Risk: Privacy, legal compliance, and risk management.
• Corporate Operations: Human resources and communications.
Monteith will start in the position May 11, 2026.
